Meet Sara, Counsellor in Totnes

Sara is a Counsellor, trauma informed Breath coach/facilitator, Breath-Informed Integrative Therapist & Yoga teacher. She has been immersed in  the world of wellness for over 20 years, and has been guiding others on their own paths for the last 10 years. 

Her journey with breath began as a child, when her mother would guide her in Yoga Nidra, breathing & meditation as tools for self regulation.  Sara tapped back in to using her breath as a tool when she discovered her love of yoga and the power of pranayama in her 20s and again later when she followed her passion into trauma work and breathwork in a therapeutic context.

I am an integrative psychotherapeutic therapist and a Breathe work practitioner. I combine the two into a unique was of working in mental health as a therapist and counsellor in Totnes.

Sara has a thriving private practice in Totnes

Based in the beautiful South West Coast of England and also works with a leading counselling agency in Devon as one of their therapists. Much of her work is with significant trauma. Her work with clients draws on her years of experience in multiple healing modalities. She believes there is not a one size fits all approach to healing and each has their own path uniquely right for them.

Sara firmly believes that no matter what the life experience, there is a way back to wholeness, self expectance and self-empowerment. Sara trained with Alchemy Of Breath as a facilitator and now co-teaches on their facilitator training.


How I work

As an experienced therapist, I understand the importance of individualized treatment. That’s why I have created a unique approach to therapy that combines my expertise in integrative psychotherapeutic therapy and Breathe work.

My integrative psychotherapeutic approach takes the best theories from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, to create a tailored approach suited to meet each individual’s unique needs. 

My Breath work practice focuses on the power of conscious breathing techniques to heal and balance both the mind and body. We will work together to develop a deeper understanding of your physical and emotional symptoms, explore the root causes, and establish tailored treatment solutions.
